Middle School Camp

In a few short weeks middle-school students will head out to the beautiful mountains of Sukabumi on their annual Middle School Camp. Parents should already have received permission letters for the camp, and I hope that all the students will be able to attend this year. 

We are tentatively scheduled to leave ISB on Tuesday, September 24 at 8:00 AM and will arrive back at ISB on Thursday, September 26 at 3:00 PM. 

Camp activities will include team-building games as well as hikes through the mountains. A detailed day-by-day schedule will be posted soon on this blog. All activities will be under the supervision of Mr. Jon, a teaching Assistant from ISB, and trained Batu Tapak staff members.

Students will be gathering needed supplies in the next week or so. 

Items each student will need to bring:

•  a thin blanket
• clothes for 3 days
• jacket
• raincoat
• pajamas
• 3 shirts
• 2 short pants
• 1 long pants
• hat
• socks for 3 days 
• underwear
• proper footwear for hiking:  hiking shoes or running shoes
• torch (flashlight)
• towel
• backpack for hiking
• water bottle
• medicine (as needed)
• plastic bags
• toiletries
• soap
• shampoo
• toothbrush toothpaste
• hairbrush or comb
• sunblock
• mosquito repellent

Remember, there is no additional cost for the camp. Fees have already been paid by you at the beginning of the year. All meals and snacks are included.
